characteristics

so a few weeks ago Gina Hoffman came and spoke to the women at common ground. she gave us a piece of paper where we could write down characteristics that we want and don't want in a guy. there's also a space to write characteristics we want to have in order to be a Godly wife. these aren't characteristics i want to have before i can become a wife, they're just things i want to be. I know that i don't need these things before God will bring my husband into my life. so here is my list... and trust me i'll change it over time. all of these things don't have to be Christian-like characteristics either, they're just things i want in a guy.

Characteristics God wants to instill in me as a Godly wife someday:

1. respect

2. patient

3. humble

4. supportive

5. not controlling

6. gentle/quiet spirit

7. hard working

8. worry free

Characteristics of a Husband:

1. honesty

2. commitment

3. funny

4. understanding

5. patient

6. loving

7. respectful/respectable

8. hard working

9. good listener

10. worry free

11. leader

12. wants kids

13. loves his family

14. has a strong relationship with God

15. plays an instrument

specifically the piano or guitar

16. wants to travel

Characteristics he should not have:

1. angry ( bad tempered)

2. too romantic

3. debt

4. hairy

5. worry wart

Deal breakers:

1. not a Christian

2. doesn't want kids
